Our two week vacation ends today. It doesn't seem like two weeks though. It flew by. It seems all we did was work around the house. We did get a lot done that we have been wanting to do for a long time. We painted our bedroom in a beach theme. One wall has this nice deep ocean color, the other walls have a textured beach color. Ralph Lauren paints are nice, but the textures can be a pain to apply. We still have lots to do in there including painting the furniture and possibly putting in a nice wood floor. The living room has one wall painted a deep red (Cinnamon Cherry). 12-foot high walls are no fun. Our home office comes next with new laminate for the giant desk, another wood floor, and yet more paint.
Our trip to Key West was a nice break from all the work. We took in a nice sunset, had some great key lime pies, and a few tropical drinks. Walking up and down Duval Street wasn't too bad. We've walked a lot further in Vegas. We went to the Hemingway House and possibly saw some of Biscuit's relatives. I went to the top of the Key West lighthouse while Nicky stayed down on firm ground. It's back to the grind tomorrow. Yippee... (sarc). We should look into winning the lottery or something.
