Next time we tell ourselves that we want a good storm, maybe we should be more specific as to the size and scope of the storm we want.

According to The Weather Channel our normal rainfall for May is something like 6". We got 19" at our house this month. Hurricane Irene dumped 21" of rain here in 1999, but that was over a 24 hour period. We had 13" of rain in 4 hours on Tuesday. We watched as the lake behind our house crept higher and higher towards our back door.

More rain is falling today. Maybe we should look into that insurance...

 

These little guys are easily overlooked. Unless you're a cat, then you see a snack.

Bottled.

Bar-B-Que.

Lasagna.

Scrambled.

My sweet husband. Great as always.

Tortilla chips with Raspberry salsa.

Anything cooked on the outdoor grill.

Cooked.

My sweet wife. As always, it turns out great!

So, here it is. Yet another blog in the deepest depths of cyberspace. This is something we've been wanting to do for a while but never got around to it since we're both so busy with work. I had tried in the past to install Movable Type but for some reason it never worked on this server. Strange but true and I'm pretty advanced in my knowledge of computers so it's quite a stumper. At any rate, I settled on a PHP script that works just as well.

We're not sure what we want to do with this yet. The way I see it, it doesn't have to be anything. Just whatever comes up: rants and raves, complaints and criticisms, movie reviews, recipes, weekly cat photos, whatever.

Let this be our official "opening" of our weblog. Exercising our basic human right to speak freely.
